Endowments

The Vernon County Historical Society is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization which owns both the Bushwhacker Museum and Jail. This status means that  it must support itself through memberships, admissions,  merchandise sales, donations, contributions, grants and endowments.

A gift to the Society helps ensure that this Vernon County asset will continue to thrive for years to come. If you would like to make a donation or would like to explore options for including the VCHS in your estate, we can work with you and your financial planning professional to develop a plan that maximizes your generosity. Donations of all sizes are welcomed. Remember, your donations are tax deductible, but your membership is not, since it includes free admission and a subscription to the “Musings” newsletter.
